In response to this latest calamity to hit the island, the UCC has dispatched funds to Global Ministries partner IEUPR (Iglesia Evangelica Unida de Puerto Rico) to assist with urgent needs. In addition, Disaster Ministries is issuing an emergency $250,000 appeal to assist the people of the island.

The Pension Boards, whose members include clergy and lay workers in Puerto Rico, has provided $15,000 in direct assistance to IEUPR and is sending more than 500 emergency backpacks to the staff at Ryder Memorial Hospital in Humacao, P.R.

PBUCC supports the UCC's disaster relief efforts and encourages you to join us in giving to help those in need following this disaster.
